About our Service
What is Capped Internet? Think of the internet in the same manner as your cell phone – if you are on a capped system it works the same as your pre-paid cell – when you reach your Cap it’s the same as running out of Airtime on a pre-paid sim card, you will need to put more money in to get it working again, right? Ngami.NET offers the only truly Uncapped & Unrestricted Service in Maun – many other providers state they offer uncapped services however for the customer this often is not the case – the moment you are asked to PAY more to speed up or for extra use at night you are being sold a capped or restricted package. If an ISP informs you, you can use a limited amount for download you are being sold a capped package. Here is what sets Ngami.NET Above the rest. Ngami.NET will never ask you to pay for more data. Your monthly bandwidth invoices will only reflect the package you have chosen! Ngami.NET will never tell you, you have used the internet “too much” this month that’s why it’s slower! You will never need to “TOP UP” to get your speed back! Ngami.NET will never sell you “MORE SPEED” at “NIGHT” so that you get a “great deal”! At Ngami.NET, we don’t mind what you use the internet for as long as what you are doing is safe and legal! Ngami.NET will never advertise packages that do not show you the minimum and maximum speeds you can expect! What is a Contention Ratio: the contention ratio is the ratio of the potential maximum demand to the actual bandwidth. The higher the contention ratio, the greater the number of users that may be trying to use the actual bandwidth at any one time and, therefore, the lower the effective bandwidth offered, especially at peak times. Ngami.NET offers 1 Contention Ratio: 10:1 (Ten to One) is the highest we offer meaning that at any given time the lowest speed you will get on this package is 1/10th of the speed - this is normally only enforced in the rare event there is an upstream feed fault. |
